Private yoga

Our Private Sessions can be designed for an individual or small group (2-10). Our Privates allow us to better address your specific needs and goals. Whether you are working through an injury or medical condition, need to refine your yoga practice, or wish to cultivate a more yogic lifestyle, our Private Yoga sessions can equip you with valuable tools for happiness whatever your current situation.

Private sessions can help students wishing to set up their own home practice, as well as those wanting to learn details about poses, breathing and meditation that may otherwise be difficult to learn in a large class. Private instruction is especially helpful if you are new to the practice, struggling with certain poses or have medical issues that need attention. Some students find that just a few sessions are enough to take their practice to the next level, while others prefer regular sessions to augment their group and home practice.

Students book a private lesson for a variety of intentions:

  • Grasping the basics of yoga (3+ sessions recommended)
  • Developing confidence to practice in group settings
  • Tailoring their practice to benefit a sport or profession outside of the studio, such as improving golf swing or complementing triathlon training
  • Learning to modify a practice while healing from injury
  • Cultivating a therapeutic practice to manage or improve health issues like insomnia or low back pain
  • Receiving one-on-one attention in a private space
  • Deepening meditation practice
  • Diving into postures, whether you need special attention to master a challenging pose like camel pose or perfect form in a fundamental pose like Chaturanga Dandasana
